It Strikes Again

" Cancel culture is not actually about justice. It is about control. People use cancellation to force conformity to ideals. " - Teal Swan

An excerpt from Blaine Pardoe's website:

"Blaine Pardoe is a New York Times Bestselling and award winning author of numerous books in the true crime, science fiction, military non-fiction, political thriller, paranormal, and business management genres. He has appeared on a number of national television and radio shows to speak about his books.

Mr. Pardoe has been a featured speaker at the US National Archives, the United States Navy Museum, and the New York Military Affairs Symposium. He was awarded the State History Award in 2011 by the Historical Society of Michigan and is a silver medal winner from the Military Writers Society of America in 2010. In 2013 Mr. Pardoe won the Harriet Quimby Award from the Michigan Aviation Hall of Fame for his contributions to aviation history. Mr. Pardoe has been a speaker at CrimeCon 2018 speaking about the Colonial Parkway Murders. He and his daughter run the true crime podcast, Tantamount.

He has been an author and designer in the gaming industry since 1985. He has written countless sourcebooks for games including the Star Trek RPG, Space 1889, the Robotech RPG, BattleTech/MechWarrior, Twilight 2000, Renegade Legion Centurion, Interceptor, and Leviathans. He has authored numerous science fiction novels in the BattleTech/MechWarrior universe. Outside of the gaming industry, he is an accomplished historian and bestselling author in the military history, business management, and true crime genres.

In the last few years, he has been a regular contributor to American Thinker, PJ Media, American Greatness, Bizpac Review, and other conservative sites. His books have been mentioned on the floor of the U.S. Congress. His works have been printed in six languages and he is recognized world-wide for his historical and fiction works."

While I have not read any of Blaine Pardoe books, I am a great fan of the Battletech universe and through a short amount of research can see the amazing impact he has had on its legacy. While I might not agree with everything he has said or written; he is both entitled to his personal opinion and as a historian, has the academic credentials that when he opines on a serious matter related to history, his words should not be dismissed out of hand.

His treatment by his employer is despicable in the face of an attack by this person. For effectively doing his job to the satisfaction of his employer and then, off company, time voicing his opinions of hardly an inappropriate or unreasonable nature, he was quite bluntly, "Shit-Canned."

When the BATTLETECH: CLAN INVASION Kickstarter dropped, I dumped over $1K into the project, I both loved Battletech that much and wanted the to support the company that was bringing new products to market. I must now question my further support of the company that publishes Battletech in light of their response to this debacle. Their kowtowing to demands of deranged wackos who attack anyone who dare to voice an opinion counter to their own is the start down a very dangerous path. The way this situation was handled will only embolden their efforts against the fanbase and will place ever greater demands to be satisfied against the publisher.

To George Ledoux, as a fan who loved Duncan Fisher in both M4 Mercs and in Tex Talks Battletech I pray that you swiftly learn the error of your support of the mob. Their appetite for destruction can never be satiated and one day with out warning, they will turn on you too.
